These courses teach students how to create art, analyze art, and understand the history and culture of art. Students learn about different mediums, styles, and techniques, and how art reflects society.
Students are required to take 4 years of SoFA Studio Art once admitted into the program, but are always welcome to explore the many other options we have to offer as well!
All SoFA students are expected to maintain a “B” Average in all courses in SoFA. Additionally, students will not be able to participate in SoFA extracurricular events if they are currently failing any class. The SoFA holds every student accountable for their academic success and emphasizes a commitment to all academic endeavors, not just in the Fine Arts.
Students must adhere to these rules and expectations when involved and participating in any SoFA organization. Students involved with SoFA should be role models to their classmates and uphold the utmost respect for themselves, their peers, their teachers, and their art.
