These courses are designed to equip students with the skills necessary to develop continually as lifelong learners. The behaviors and skills acquired through the completion of this discipline transfer to any career pathway, music or otherwise, and provide the individual with the discipline and work ethic required to be successful in whatever career they choose.
Students are required to take 4 years of Ensemble credits once admitted into the program, but are always welcome to explore the many other options we have to offer as well!
All SoFA students are expected to maintain a “B” Average in all courses in SoFA. Additionally, students will not be able to participate in SoFA extracurricular events if they are currently failing any class. The SoFA holds every student accountable for their academic success and emphasizes a commitment to all academic endeavors, not just in the Fine Arts.
Students must adhere to these rules and expectations when involved and participating in any SoFA organization. Students involved with SoFA should be role models to their classmates and uphold the utmost respect for themselves, their peers, their teachers, and their art.
